Question 1

What is TopSaaS.lol?

Accepted Answer

TopSaaS.lol is a competitive, community-driven battle arena for SaaS products and AI tools. Users vote in head-to-head rivalries (like ChatGPT vs Claude or Cursor vs Windsurf) to determine the true #1 software leaderboard powered by a chess-style Elo rating algorithm.

Question 2

How does the TopSaaS Elo rating system work?

Accepted Answer

Every SaaS product begins at a baseline 1500 Elo score. When two products battle, Elo is dynamically recalculated based on the opponent's strength. Defeating a higher-ranked software yields a significant rating boost, whereas losing to an underdog results in a rating penalty.

Question 3

Can I submit my own SaaS product or challenge a competitor?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Anyone can launch a new duel for free by clicking '+ Create a Battle'. Simply paste the website URL of both software products, and our metadata engine will automatically fetch the logo, company, and product details to launch the battle instantly.

Question 4

How are votes verified and protected against spam?

Accepted Answer

TopSaaS enforces strict 1-vote-per-IP duplicate detection backed by distributed Upstash Redis key locks and client-side device persistence to ensure all leaderboard rankings remain authentic and manipulation-free.
