1. Blind head-to-head votes
Two relevant software products face off in a battle. Vote results stay hidden until a vote is cast so the first choice is based on genuine preference rather than herd behavior.

How TopSaaS Battles & Rankings Work
TopSaaS is an independent community arena. Direct head-to-head software battles and transparent Elo calculations determine the leaderboard.
2. Elo ratings and ranking tiers
Each product starts near a 1500 Elo baseline. An upset changes the rating more than an expected win. Products move from unranked to provisional and then ranked as they collect valid votes across distinct opponents.
3. Vote integrity
Votes are checked with privacy-preserving identity signals, rate limits, and bot-risk detection. Rejected or flagged activity does not silently inflate a product’s ranking.
4. Independent rankings
Companies cannot buy a higher TopSaaS position. Sponsorship or advertising does not change battle results or Elo ratings.
